War Scythe – 24in – LARP

The alarm bell sounds from the town while you are working in the field, and there isn’t enough warning for the farmers to find safety before the raiders are upon you. All you have is your scythe, and it is this that you clench in your calloused and worn hands as they descend.

Along with your fellow workers, you fight bravely. They aren’t expecting peasants such as you to fight so hard! You don’t want to die, and so you also find yourself thankful that the raiders seem as untrained as you, the combat continuing.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s War Scythe is a 60 cm latex short axe with a 20 cm blade. The weapon is entirely handpainted with wood-grain and metal finishes. The blade is angled and designed to match the realism of the traditionally shaped handle, with a deadly hook at the end inspired by the weapons that could rip through armour…as well as more obvious farmer’s tool!

Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.

All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the ‘Weapon Maintenance & Repair’ section.

‘Larp Inn Weapon Lube – Silicone Spray’ is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coat’s flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.

Store your latex weapons flat or on its pommel – NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
